International ChildRestitution

When minors are taken out of a country (Ecuador) without the consent of the other parent, it is a cause for the parent of the minor who did not give consent to request the International Restitution of the Minor.

Specialized agencies intervene in each of the countries involved in this situation. We have had many cases of Ecuadorian children who have been illegally removed from the country and we have had to ask the Central Authorities of Ecuador and commonly in the United States to intervene to achieve the International Restitution of Minors.

In the United States the Central Authority is in Washington (Office of Children’s Issues) and in Ecuador in the City of Quito.

These issues are resolved at the highest level due to the sensitivity of the subject.
