dispositions contained therein during his lifetime.<\/p>\n<p>Among the requirements are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To be of <strong>Ecuadorian nationality<\/strong> or <strong>resident in Ecuador<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>To have <strong>three witnesses<\/strong> who hear and understand the last dispositions and will of the testator.<\/li>\n<li>Be granted before a <strong>Notary Public<\/strong>, as it is a <strong>solemn act<\/strong>, and\/or before a <strong>consul<\/strong> abroad.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A will written and granted in a foreign country shall be <strong>valid in Ecuador<\/strong>, <strong>if, with respect to the solemnities, its conformity with the laws of the country in which it was granted is evidenced<\/strong> and, in addition, <strong>if the authenticity of the respective instrument is proven in the ordinary manner.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All <strong>testamentary dispositions<\/strong> are <strong>essentially revocable<\/strong>, even if the testator expresses in the will a determination not to revoke them.<\/p>\n<p>A <strong>will<\/strong> is an <strong>act of a single person<\/strong>. <strong>All dispositions contained in a will granted by two or more persons at the same time<\/strong>, whether for the <strong>reciprocal benefit<\/strong> of the grantors or of a third person, <strong>shall be null and void<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>If you have
